the story so far
North Star User Centred Design is a british consultancy based in the Newcastle Upon Tyne founded by Ben Morrison in 2026.
After starting out in academia, Ben led within large-scale public sector user centred design practices and programmes for clients such as the NHS Business Services Authority, NHS England and UK government clients.
Along the way he saw a wide range of skills and abilities, and an industry which lacks a consistent, high-quality approach.
Ben founded North Star with three main goals:
First, to develop a framework for delivering high quality user centred design, and disseminates this across our partners and client engagements.
Second, to contribute to the growth of the blooming digital transformation scene in the North East of England.
Finally, to deliver social value, with a long-term ambition of funding local initiatives that make a real difference to people’s lives.
